Husband & wife owners, David Ross & Merrilee Paul bring over three decades of hospitality experience to 50 Local. Merrilee, a local gal from birth has been in the front of the house at many renowned Boston restaurants, most recently coming from her position of GM at Great Bay in the Hotel Commonwealth. However, her hospitality roots stem from a busgirl at the White Barn Inn in high school to a server at the Cape Arundel Inn while attending college. David, originally from western Massachusetts attended the Culinary Institute in Hyde Park NY and worked in many acclaimed restaurants in NYC. He then moved north to Boston where he was the executive chef overseeing two restaurants, Lucca & Sasso. The couple has happily returned to Merrilee's hometown to raise their one year old son and in hopes of making diners happy.
