We are primarily a homestead. My two sons and I fell in love with "growing to eat" when we picked and devoured our first veggies. So, we decided to build a sustainable homestead. We are ever growing and loving every minute of it. We have a mixed breed flock of chickens that provide us with delicious eggs - we sell the extra to pay for the feed/keep of the "girls". We grow as many veggies as we can in our raised beds, we put in a mini-orchard last year, have a squash patch, an herb garden, and a variety of fruit plants. We are hoping to start selling our extra food next season.
