Extremely hardy and will shoulder out weeds with no problems. Best grown in shade and will grow with no use of fertilizers whatsoever - so it is very "green" as an ornamental. Also an excellent container pot for large statements.
Rhizomes are from small to large. It is impossible to hurt these and they will provide huge leaves very quickly.
