Adirondack Harvest is a community organization formed out of concern for the loss and abandonment of farmland in Essex County, New York. Residents realized that to keep farmland well-groomed and scenic, such maintenance needed to be profitable. Founding members also had a strong commitment to small scale, sustainable farms and wanted to insure that farm-fresh food was available to them.
Since its inception in 2001, Adirondack Harvest has grown to encompass all 13 counties which contain at least some land within the Adirondack Park as well as Jefferson County. We have 6 active chapters spread across the region. Our focus has been on expanding markets for local farm products so that consumers have more choice of fresh farm products and on assisting farmers increase sustainable production to meet the expanding markets.
Our website, www.adirondackharvest.com, lists many farms, farmstands, farmers markets, and stores and restaurants carrying local farm products. We sponsor promotional events and a broad educational outreach to both producers and consumers.

I was able to find a lot of Adirondack Farmers and restaurants that carry Adirondack foods. The events were current and the newsletter is very informative.
