Our Aji Dulce plants are grown organically without chemicals or pesticides. We harvest our own seed from plants grown from original heirloom seeds from Venezuela. Photo pepper plant w/ flowers and early peppers. Seeds are fresh from our 2008 crop.
Transplant seedlings in ground or containers. Will grow into full bushy plants and can get up to 4 ft tall. Plants are very prolific and will bear when about 20 inches in height. Pepper pods are approximately 1.5 to 3 inches long and 1.5 to 2 inches wide, tapered and mature from pale green to orange to red. Look very similar to the Habanero and are often confused.
Taste: Sweet, spicy and pungent, absolutely delicious, without a trace of heat! If you like the flavor and aroma of the Habanero but find them too hot then the Aji Dulce is for you.
Uses: Favored by cooks in the Caribbean and South America the aji dulce has grown in popularity. Used to flavor a large variety of dishes it is a great addition to rice dishes, beans, stir fries, stews, chilies and more...
