90 days. OP. Heirloom from Iraq. 15 to 20 lb, apple green with darker green squiggles, oblong melons are produced abundantly on heat and drought tolerant vines. Also produces well in the north if your season is long enough. The flesh is light red, very sweet and juicy, with few seeds. Buy this one for the taste, hard rind that hold up well (not prone to split), vigorousness, and ease of growth in difficult conditions. Grow it again every year to help preserve this heirloom from Iraq, whose heirloom seed supply has been devastated by the U.S. occupation and U.S. agribusiness' (Monsanto & Cargill's) attempt to control Iraq agriculture. Most of Iraq's heirloom varieties have been lost. But, seed from this wonderful watermelon was sent by an Iraq gardener to Jere Gettle, from Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds.
