Allium 'Purple Sensation' is an impressive flowering Onion.
It produces several large, lance-shaped leaves, has a strong stem 3', which holds a ball up to 6" across of many small purple flowers.
A useful cut flower and is impressive plant for the back of the border.
The seedhead can also be used in dried arrangements.
