Almond is the family name of Carolyn & Lance Almond, who grow everything at the Almond Farm except nuts. Naturally-rich,loamy south Ridgefield soil is where the goodness begins at the Almond Farm, which never uses insecticides or artificial fertilizers. Fresh and robust produce in wide varieties are available from May to October. The Almond Farm is now offering CSA memberships this year, as well as an on-site store. Also, they are members of the Great Pumpkin Commonwealth and enjoy growing giant pumpkins. So whether you are a CSA member picking up your weekly share of produce or a store customer purchasing delicious local honey and jams, you might want to wonder over to the garden and watch their pumpkins as they gain weight and size throughout the growing season.
