Alpaca fiber is soft, warmer than wool, hypoallergenic and wonderful to knit or crochet. We specialize in natural colors with an emphasis on lighter shades that may be dyed.
None of our precious fiber is wasted. Our prime fiber is processed into beautiful rovings for spinning and yarns for making luxurious garments and scarves. Our seconds are washed and hand carded for spinning and use in outerwear or for use in felting or other fiber crafts. Our thirds are used for durable rugs which are made from alpaca and jute. Finally the remaining debris from shearing is placed in our compost for use in our organic garden and the birds LOVE it for nesting material.
We also have reasonably priced alpacas for sale to selected parties. New arrivals are expected this spring.
All rovings and yarns are from our small herd of pampered alpacas. Some are 1st and 2nd place winners in spin offs. All of the yarns and rovings we offer are spun by New Era Fiber in Lebanon, Tn. using only our prime blankets. We also offer hand washed and carded seconds for spinners and crafters and of course raw, skirted fibers for those who like to do it all themselves.
