Shearing day was May 12! I have 15 of my best alpaca fleeces, and will sell them on a first come basis. I raise full Accoyo huacaya alpacas which are known to have the best and softest fiber. 13 of the 15 fleeces are white, and the remaining two are light fawn. I am selling these at the best prices anywhere, because I don't have the room to store them.
Many of the bags of fleeces will be 4-8 pounds of gorgeous fiber, with 2 being baby fleeces which are unbelievably soft. The fiber will not be skirted, but I will make every effort to be sure it is as clean as possible coming off the alpacas during shearing. I will also include the neck and leg fiber if your order comes in before the 12th. Otherwise, I combine all the leg fiber in one bag and all the neck fibers in one bag and sell them accordingly.
Alpacas produce and provide to us a very soft fiber that is hypoallergenic. Alpacas do not produce lanolin like sheep do, so most people can wear alpaca even if they are allergic to sheep's wool. An alpaca's fiber is soft, light weight, and very warm, making it a very popular natural fiber.
