Alpaca fleece is the natural fiber harvested from an alpaca. It is light weight or heavy weight, depending on how it is spun. It is soft, durable, luxurious and silky natural fiber.
This is a nice dark reddish brown from my boy who is the son of Captain Morgan a famous Suri Alpaca.
Approximately 2.5 to 3 lbs of raw fiber.
The alpaca is a member of the camelid family. They are even tempered and have an inquisitive nature. Their young are called "cria". They are indigenous to South America and are raised for their soft fleece, known to some as "The Fiber of the Gods!"
