This beautiful colored alpaca roving is a beautiful blend of two of our huacaya females fiber - Sajama and Urubamba. I decided to dye some rovings just for fun and this is one of the colors I thought would make a nice yarn -- for knitting a summer sweater or perhaps yarn for a baby blanket. Alpacas produce and provide to us a very soft fiber that is hypoallergenic. Alpacas do not produce lanolin like sheep do, so most people can wear alpaca even if they are allergic to sheep's wool. An alpaca's fiber is soft, light weight, and very warm, making it a very popular natural fiber.
