This yarn is scrumptious. A 50/50 blend of suri and huacaya makes this yarn one of the nicest I have. The huacaya was produced from from baby alpaca, while the suri is produced by one of our blue ribbon suris.
This lovely white yarn is 2-ply, light worsted and 200 yards per skein.
Alpacas produce and provide to us a very soft fiber that is hypoallergenic. Alpacas do not produce lanolin like sheep do, so most people can wear alpaca even if they are allergic to sheep's wool. An alpaca's fiber is soft, light weight, and very warm, making it a very popular natural fiber.
