This beautiful alpaca yarn was provided to us by one of our foundation females, Maisy. She is a beautiful light fawn color and holds wonderful fleece characteristics in density and handle. Each skein weighs 2 ounces and is 90 yards in length.
Alpacas produce and provide to us a very soft fiber that is hypoallergenic. Alpacas do not produce lanolin like sheep do, so most people can wear alpaca even if they are allergic to sheep's wool. An alpaca's fiber is soft, light weight, and very warm, making it a very popular natural fiber.
