We have delicious table eggs available between April and October. Each dozen comes in a beautiful rainbow of colors! Our chicken flock of varied and unusual breeds free-ranges, foraging in meadow and forest surrounding our farm. Their diet also includes organic whole grains.
Hatching eggs are available seasonally, as well, for our two favorite breeds:
Norwegian Jaerhons, a light-weight, hardy breed that does really well in our mountain climate. Skilled free-rangers, they are also capable of flying short distances. Our Jaerhons lay a good-sized, creamy white egg.
Mille Fleur Cochin Bantams, a fascinating project in the works. Cochins are known for their personable nature.
