Anamu is a tropical plant found throughout Latin America, the Caribbean, and Florida. Leaves can be used fresh or dried and made into an herbal tea; or, chewed.
Uses: Anamu is commonly used as a natural remedy for a number of physical ills and ailments to treat colds, coughs, respiratory, pulmonary infections, and influenza. And, certain medical conditions including: arthritis, pain, & cancer,
Anamu has a long history in herbal medicine in all of the tropical countries where it grows. It contains a specific sulfur compound called dibenzyl trisulfide, a known cancer-fighting agent. Anamu's traditional use as a remedy for arthritis and rheumatism has been validated by clinical research confirming its pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory properties.
