Animal Farm

Animal Farm is a Permaculture Center, that includes a 12 Acre Certified Organic Produce Farm that supplies Farmers Markets and specialty retaurants in the Houston and Austin area with the finest, most nutricious vegetables ever grown. The farm operation is based on Permaculture principles (read: Designed for Sustainability). We are off the grid, process our own waste water, build sustainable, and encourage others to do so as well. To that end, we teach classes that cover the entire spectrum of Permaculture, from designing, planning and living sustainably, to growing your own food, building your own energy efficient green buildings and promote community in the process. For the general public we organize an open house twice a year, in spring and fall, to share all that nature and us have created here, and share the joys and experience that this process has given us.
