Anisoptera Acres is a family farm run by a husband and wife team (Dan and Catherine Kleiber) with their young sons. Anisoptera Acres offers pasture-raised pork and beef and free-range chicken and duck. We grow most of our own feed on our 500-acre farm. We use no hormones, antibiotics or animal byproducts in our feed. All of our meat is processed by local, state-inspected facilities. We sell by the cut, as well as the more economical bulk portions for those wanting high quality meat on a budget. Whole, half, or quarter steers and whole or half hogs are available.
Our meat is harvested seasonally; however, most cuts, chicken, and duck are available year round. Chickens are ready June-August. Pork is ready August-November. Beef is ready October-November. Bulk orders will be ready for pickup in season.
Orders can be called in ahead and picked up on farm or at either the Hilldale Farmer√Ę¬?¬?s Market or Monona Farmer's Market, during market season. Arrangements can usually be made for delivery of large orders within a reasonable distance. We also sell a la carte at the Hilldale Farmer√Ę¬?¬?s Market in Madison, WI and at the Monona Farmer's Market during the summer market season. If you are stopping by the market for something special, please call ahead and we√Ę¬?¬?ll be sure to save it for you.
