The Michigan Wildflower Conference, Michigan's premier wildflower event, will take place Sunday March 2nd & Monday March 3rd at the Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center on the campus of Michigan State University, a part of MSU's Agricultural & Natural Resources Week. There will be general & concurrent sessions both days with exhibits & vendors. A Sunday Educators Workshop will focus on developing native outdoor education habitats. A luncheon is available both days with lodging available onsite. Walk-in registrations are welcome. As always, gathered are a group of experts to educate & inspire anyone interested in Michigan's native plants & their habitats. Noted Photographer & Author Rick Darke (Coauthor of 'The Living Landscape: Designing for Beauty and Biodiversity in the Home Garden') will be the keynote speaker. Other sessions will cover landscape design utilizing native plants, attracting native bee species, aromatic plants, & an introduction to butterflies & moths by Brenda Dziedzik, author of 'Butterflies in the Garden'. Whether you're a Native Plant novice or aficionado, join us to jump start spring & as we begin the 2014 green season.
