Caught Fresh for You

Capt. Tom McLaughlin is a local commercial fisherman in Englewood, Florida, a small town on Florida's Gulf Coast. He owns and operates his own commercial vessel for grouper, snapper and other highly-prized species from the Gulf of Mexico.

Over 80 percent of the fish Americans eat comes from overseas. It is often artificially preserved, intentionally mislabeled, and filled with harmful contaminants. In 2011, Capt. Tom began selling fresh fish directly to the consumer and high-end restaurants to provide a fresh, all-natural and locally-sourced alternative for health-conscious consumers. In today's world-wide food marketplace, there is something to be said for knowing where your food comes from, how and when it was harvested, and how it was handled following harvest. Sustainable Harvest & Fisherman-Direct

All of our fish is caught fresh for you by Capt. Tom himself. If we don't catch it, we don't sell it. His use of rod & reel or spear, assures the most environmentally friendly and sustainable harvest methods have been used for your fresh catch. And, because he is the owner and operator of his own boat, Capt. Tom is able to focus on quality over quantity. This means each and every fish is carefully handled and iced to preserve its ultimate freshness. It also means your fresh catch is back at the dock within hours of being harvested, rather than days or weeks as can be the case with other commercial fishing operations.

Have your fish shipped or pick it up at the dock. We are located at Cape Haze Marina in Englewood, FL.
