Appalachia Star Farm began in 2003 on 5 acres in Nelson County. At Appalachia Star Farm we use sustainable growing methods to raise vegetables, berries and eggs. We use growing methods that encourage biological activity in the soil and minimize our impact on the earth while producing nourishing and flavorful products. Our vegetables, berries, and eggs are available at local farmer's markets and through our CSA subscription. We grow over 40 crops - vegetables, herbs, flowers, and berries such as strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries. Our CSA shares are available for pick-up at either of our Charlottesville market stands - Meade Park Market on Wednesdays from 4-7pm and City Market on Saturdays from 7-12pm.
