Apple Brandy Beef

Apple Brandy Beef is raised on our third generation family farms in the foothills of western North Carolina. The same foothills made famous by moonshiners and bootleggers since the years of prohibition.

Apple Brandy Beef derives from cowherds consisting of Hereford and Angus cattle. For generations our family has selected specific genetics in an effort to produce a superior cow herd. The beef available for purchase is the product of these prestigious cow herds. We know the pedigree and complete history, including exact age, of each animal that goes into our beef program. On our farms we do NOT use synthetic hormones or antibiotics. The majority of the year our cattle can be found on one of our family’s farms in the foothills of Wilkes County. During the summer months when temperatures begin to rise, our cattle are moved to lush pastures along the Blue Ridge Parkway. The cattle love the cool mountain air and the native blue grass pastures. If you have traveled the parkway near Doughton Park you may have seen them in one of several pastures outlined by the Parkway’s signature split rail fences.

When animals reach the appropriate age to enter the beef program they encounter a palatable mixture of corn and grain in addition to their normal pastures. This specific finishing mixture combined with our genetic selections produce a product filled with tenderness and the appropriate amount of marbling.

Apple Brandy Beef is locally processed, only a few short miles from where it originates, under the supervision of a USDA inspector. All our beef is aged a minimum of 14 days under refrigeration before cutting and vacuuming packaging. Special care is taken to ensure the freshness and safety of our beef.

My family and I produce “All Natural Corn Fed Beef” on our third generation family farm in the foothills of North Carolina. We do NOT use any synthetic hormones in our animals and do NOT us antibiotics. While my family has farmed the land for generations, only recently have we started marketing our all natural beef directly to consumers under our own label, Apple Brandy Beef. Our beef offers consumers safety and wholesomeness with the flavor and quality of a USDA Prime or Choice Beef.
