Now a second generation farm, Apple Creek Farm was established in 1985 in Bowdoinham, Maine. Apple Creek Farm has been raising sheep for meat, wool, and breed stock. Our flock breeds have changed and mixed over the years but are currently made up of pure bred Romneys, pure bred Oxfords, pure bred Dorsets, and, the majority of which are, Romney/Cheviot crosses. We also have been raising beef cows since 2002 - Hereford and Black Angus. All animals are grass based and are rotationally grazed on our farm for the benefit of the animals and land. The free-range hens have access to the entire farm where they find all kinds of bugs, grubs, grasses, and clover to eat. The flock is made up of Bantam, Araucana, Barred Rock, and Red Star hens.
