We take fresh, tree ripened apples and slice them, very thinly, by hand . Then, we cover the apples in a cinamon syrup and seal in the freshness. All you need is a pie crust and 2 jars of Apple-Pie-in-a-jar to make a homemade apple pie. It only takes one jar to make an apple crisp. My husband loves to use it as an ice cream topping.
