Arcadia Brook Farm

We are David Booth and Norma Hernandez Gatica. Our farm is where tomatoes, corn and pac choy meet tomatillos and jalapenos. Diverse in crops and cultures. Our farm is located on the site of the legendary test gardens of Dick Raymond and Garden Way, just off from Greenbush Rd. in North Ferrisburgh, VT. For 2008 we are pleased to be offering new crops like sweet potatoes, more Asian and Hispanic specialties, and more of your favorites like heirloom tomatoes, specialty lettuces and sweet corn. Plus optional bread share, and our own eggs, local grass fed beef, pork and chicken. 2008 will be our sixth growing season. With each passing year we build deeper and richer soils. Indeed, our equity is in the soil. It is the melding of nature's gifts and our own dedication and passion. It enables us to offer a wide variety of just harvested delicious, organically grown (but not certified) vegetables, flowers, and herbs available weekly on the farm from mid-June through October. For 2008 we are offering a regular share and a half share. When you come to the farm feel free to picnic, visit the animals, swim in the pond, and walk down to the river on your pick-up days. All pick-ups will be at our farm. Please call, e-mail, or visit our web-site for more details. Thank you! It is our pleasure to serve you. At Arcadia Brook, "Our Farm is Your Farm." Sincerely, David and Norma

The flavor and nutrition of your food is directly linked to the quality of the soil. We feed the soil with a wide variety of compost, mulch, leaves, minerals, natural siltation, and cover crops. The result is food with a flavor, sweetness, and nutritional density that, most of the time, is simply unavailable at any store, at any price. Healthy eating becomes a joy for children and adults alike. We invite you to discover the pleasure and passion of eating truly delicious and nutritious food.
