Arikara yellow beans were an important food source for Native Americans, primarily in the Missouri Valley.
These are the easiest beans I have ever grown - they are prolific producers, and do very well in dry conditions.
These can be eaten as pod beans when they are very young, but are best left to dry on the vine and used as dry beans.
Direct sow seed in spring after all danger of frost has passed for your area. Beans require full sun (at least 6 continuous hours of sunlight per day) to thrive. Plant in well drained soil as overly wet conditions will cause disease.
