Oliver Crane developed the Crane Melon in the early 1900s by crossing
several varieties of melons, including a Japanese melon, a white melon, a
Persian melon and an ambrosia melon among others. The Crane melon averages
4-7 pounds, is round like a soccer ball, and has a light orange flesh that
is highly aromatic. The fruit is exceptionally sweet and juicy.

We are a small sustainable farm located on a portion of our family's original settlement from 1760. We raise heritage breed Guinea Hogs along with heritage breed chickens and a small field of pesticide/herbicide free vegetables with a focus on heirloom crops to include peas that were grown during the era of the 1800's. We also raise cashmere goats (yes, where cashmere sweaters come from!) and olde english babydoll sheep, a heritage breed of miniature sheep used as organic weeders in orchards and vineyards.

We are a small organic farm in beavercreek, oregon right outside portland we specialize in rare heirloom tomatoes and squash. We sell all products from 4 breeds of poultry listed as critically endangered by the american livestock breeds conservancy. we offer eggs, meat, ducklings and chicks, all raised on our custom blended feed with locally sourced ingredients and because we will be using these birds for their dual purpose we are able to be very strict about our breeding standards.
