German Pink tomato
The German Pink tomato is a Bavarian variety that is currently grown in Festina, Iowa. The plants produce large 1-2 pound meaty fruits with few seeds. The German Pink has a full sweet flavor, even floral, and a tender skin. The tomato is an extremely versatile fruit, as it is excellent for canning and freezing but also slicing and juicing.
Beginning in May of 2014 we are offering a "Have It Your Way" CSA You order what you want for the week instead of our deciding what you will receive. Our shares are available to members in Ottawa and the south Kansas City/Johnson County areas. Delivery location is to be determined, most likely in the southern part of Johnson County. (more...)
