German Pink tomato
The German Pink tomato is a Bavarian variety that is currently grown in Festina, Iowa. The plants produce large 1-2 pound meaty fruits with few seeds. The German Pink has a full sweet flavor, even floral, and a tender skin. The tomato is an extremely versatile fruit, as it is excellent for canning and freezing but also slicing and juicing.

The Farm of Plenty at Little Moran is a community supported farm that grows organic heirloom vegetables. Heirlooms are seed varieties that are over 100 years old. We are a small family farm located just outside of the Polk City city limits on SR 33. Currently we offer eggs from chickens that are raised on grass and fed a mixture of whole grains and seeds, with a few supplements such as aragonite and kelp. Many of the grains and seeds (for example, wheat and flax seeds) are USDA certified organic. (more...)
