The Black and White Jersey Giant chickens are true to their name, as they are the largest capon table birds produced in the US. The Jersey Giant was developed in New Jersey in the 1870s by crossing several large, Asiatic breeds, to meet the demand for caponized heavy fowl. Both the White and Black Jersey Giants produce brown to dark brown eggs even through the cold winter. Because it takes time to grow their large frame, they have little meat until about six months. With such a long growth period, these chickens often lose out in the industry to more rapidly growing birds. We raise registered American Miniature Jersey dairy cows and specialize in hand-raised family/homestead milk cows. We raise Navajo-Churro sheep and have lambs for sale seasonally. We sell Churro fleeces, wool, roving, and yarn. We also raise heritage birds, including Khaki Campbell ducks, Russian Orloff chickens, Tiger Bronze Turkeys, Bourbon Red Turkeys, Naraganssett Turkeys, American Buff Geese and Coturnix Quail.

The Little Homestead is a small farm in Mulino, Oregon. The farm offers a CSA program which provides its members with fresh produce, herbs, fruits and berries. The farm also offers custom growing of emu, goat, lamb, broiler chickens, heritage breed chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, and guinea fowl. The CSA shares are $10 small share, $20 large share.

We are a small family farm that started with the concern for our own family. We buy only "certified organic" whole grains, which include corn, wheat, oats, & flax. Which we fresh grind every day. Also supplemented with redmond salt, & kelp. NO soybean used ever. Also raise our own organic hay. No chemicals, antibotics, or hormones used here.
Welsummers, and Blue Jersey Giants are the breeds of poultry we raise, just added Black Copper Marans.

We are a small, family farm utilizing ORGANIC practices in raising our food and animals. We have a mixed flock of chickens and sell brown, green, white and chocolate eggs in a mixed (not graded) dozen. Our chickens enjoy spending their days out on pasture that is free from pesticides and herbicides, and roost in their coop when the sun sets at night. Grains (100% organic) are offered, free choice and contain NO meat by-products or antibiotics. Chickens eggs are $4.25/doz.
