In the 1960s Dr. J. Robert Smyth at the University of Massachusetts, created the Midget White turkey breed to meet an anticipated demand for a small turkeyâ??capable of fitting into the smaller refrigerators of an increasing number of urban dwellers and single households. Yet the market for a smaller bird did not develop as predicted and a lack of demand almost pulled this breed out of production. The survival of this breed now lies completely in the hands of private individuals. Both The meat and the eggs of the Midget White are outstanding in quality
Our passion is endangered and low-input livestock, self sufficiency, and healthy living. We offer 100% grass-fed beef by the cut, and NITRITE-FREE, SOY FREE pastured pork, finished on fruits and veges.
Our free-to-run chickens lay delicious eggs of all colors, and we have grass finished rabbit.
We also raise Midget White Turkeys, but do not sell turkey at this time
We also have saanen and oberhasli dairy goats for our family milk. Kids from top milking and show lines sometimes available.

On our small farm we raise a diverse variety of fruit, herbs, cut flowers and produce along with dairy goats, laying and meat chickens, lambs and feeder pigs. We practice biodynamic principles and work diligently to produce quality products in a sustainable and practical way to maintain the beauty and health of this land, the animals under our care, our customers and ourselves. Most of our produce and fruit is sold through a CSA.

We are a small family farm complete with cows, chickens, ducks, goats and rabbits. We operate a functional, sustainable homestead and support ourselves by selling the surplus of what we grow for ourselves. Our farm is inspected by the USDA and certified organic under the Certified Naturally Grown Program. We practice earth friendly growing methods such as crop rotation, composting our own fertilizers, hand weeding our garden areas, and irrigating with collected rainwater.

A small, eclectic family farm located outside of Savannah, Ohio. We currently offer fresh, free range chicken and duck eggs. We are hoping to expand into fresh, hormone and cage free/free range broilers and heritage breed chickens later this spring. We will also have hormone free, free range heritage breed, broad breasted and bronze turkeys for Thanksgiving. If spring ever arrives, there will also be seasonal heirloom vegetables and herbs available!

Started five years ago as a farmstead to mainly a supply healthy, natural, local food to our own table and the demand for our chickens and produce quickly outstripped our supply. We found friends and family clamoring for the extra we produced so each year we have offered more selection and quantity. We also found people everywhere we went who were interested in supporting our efforts by making their meals local.
