Farmer Gord has a permaculture farm called ORO. I am trying to grow food in as natural a way as possible, eliminating much fossil fuel and using permaculture methods instead of fertilizer. I believe "organic" is just the same as conventional without the chemicals. Catering to eaters of Traditional Foods (such as WAPF, paleo and raw), Gord loves to grow food for people. The heritage Tamworth pigs run free without rings in their noses, and they're not castrated.

The Farm of Plenty at Little Moran is a community supported farm that grows organic heirloom vegetables. Heirlooms are seed varieties that are over 100 years old. The flavor and nutrient densities are usually much better than what is available today in the traditional grocery store setting. We are a transitional organic farm and only use sustainable organic practices with zero use of petrochemical fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides.

We grow about 8 acres of Stellar Certified Organic vegetables, fruits, and flowers which are sold at the Rockford and Ada Farmer's Market, through our CSA, and to local restaurants. Everything on the farm is grown using organic and biodynamic practices. Our farm respects and preserve the environment, with a focus on rebuilding top soil and preserving biodiversity. This season we are growing over 60 different crops with over 150 different varieties.

We are a small, 2-1/2 acre farm. The farm was certified organic from 1998 to 2000 and we sold at the Meridian Township and Howell farmers' markets. We ran a CSA from 2009 through 2012. We use organic principles in growing our produce. We do occasional sales directly from the farm.
