Newtown Pippin Apple
This apple has a remarkably balanced tart/sweet flavor and an aroma described as "piney". It is noted for the quality of the fresh and fermented cider it yields, its superior baking qualities, its excellent taste when eating out-of-hand, and its ability to mellow and improve with storage. The Newtown Pippin was a favorite of several founding fathers, including George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, and Thomas Jefferson who grew them at Monticello.
Prospect Hill Orchards is a family owned and operated farm growing fruits including sweet and sour cherries, white and yellow peaches and nectarines, more than 15 varieties of apples, Bosc pears, Asian pears and pumpkins in season. (more...)

Our project began as a homestead. We were looking to live a simpler life. As we cultivated herbs and tended our trees, we began to produce more than we could eat. We eased into selling to neighbors and friends and markets. We use no pesticides or herbicides -- we are a no-spray farm. (more...)

We are a small family farm raising heirloom and heritage breeds in everything from apples to Thanksgiving turkeys. We offer pastured heritage Lilac and Bronze turkeys for Thanksgiving and Christmas, and starting in 2013, will be offering raw aged goat cheese from our herd of wild spanish-dairy goat cross does.
