St. Croix Sheep
This sheep is part of the Caribbean Hair sheep family of breeds and well adapted to heat and humidity. Found in mainland North America, the St. Croix is typically white and polled, though local variants can have different coloration or markings. It is a relatively small sheep and known for its high fertility and parasite resistance. The St. Croix landrace continues to be raised in the US Virgin Islands. St. Croix lamb meat is tender, with a sweet aroma and a delicate taste. The sheep is listed as "threatened" on the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy's Conservation Priority List.
We are a family farm established in 2008 on 10 acres near the Ice Age Trail. We currently raise sheep, beef cattle, pigs, chickens, turkeys and ducks. As well as, eggs and seasonal produce. Our emphasis is on Heritage breeds. We do not use hormones or antibiotics. Animals are pasture feed or have locally grown, all natural grassy hay. (more...)

Millstone Meadows Daylily Farm, nestled in the NC foothills outside of Morganton, is a 20+ year old daylily farm featuring over 1200 AHS recognized cultivars.
