Deer Tongue lettuce, also known as Matchless lettuce, dates back to the early 1740s, whereas the Amish Deer Tongue lettuce is variety from a later eraâ??circa 1840. Wild Plum Farm is working hard getting ready for the2011 growing season. Tomato, pepper, artichoke,celery and various other transplants are almost ready to go in the ground. With all the bad weather, the garden has been to wet to put anything into it. Shares this season are for 12 weeks and will start on April 2 (pick up will be at the farm.) Cost of a share, that should feed 4 for a week will be $250.00.

I am currently growing diversified vegetables and fruit on approximately 2.5 acres in 2 locations. The Angel Garden is 20 miles southeast of Midland and the Phoenix Garden is approximately 5 miles east of downtown Midland on Business 20.
I use sustainable and biodynamic agricultural methods. I do not use chemicals with the exception of diesel fuel for the tractor.

Whirlwind Farm is 15 beautiful ac. With 8ac. of mixed forest along Town Creek in Geraldine, Al. 7 ac of open land producing mixed vegetables and herbs on 2.5 ac. LaVonna Mickler of 7 Paths Farm has moved onto the property with her milk goats and heritage breed poultry she is raising for breeding stock and egg production.
We are farming together on one piece of land as a whole farm. Our farming practices, while we aren't certified are organic/biodynamic methods.

The Wednesday Evening Farmers Market is a new market associated with the Ann Arbor Farmers Market that is focused on produce, prepared food, and value-addded product vendors. The market runs from 4:30 - 8:30 pm, May - September in the same space as the Ann Arbor Farmers Market and includes a non-profit-sponsored beer and wine garden, live music, and periodic educational events.
