The Lorz Italian Garlic is an heirloom variety from the northwestern part of the US, with a very strong flavor. The Lorz family brought this plant to Washington State's Columbia River Basin in the early 1900s from their home in Italy. Lorz garlic thrives in hot summers, when it grows into garlic with a very bold flavor. The bulb can have anywhere from two to eighteen cream-colored cloves, which are contained within its purple-colored bulb and its thick wrappers. Generally harvested in the mid-season, the Lorz Italian garlic stores well for six to eight months.

Winter Farmers Market every Saturday throughout the year. We are inside when the weather is bad. Products include organic and natural lotions, baked goods, mushrooms, canned goods, fresh produce, goats milk delivery, eggs, fermented vegetables, angel food cakes, homemade cheeses and butters, homemade natural beverages, wholistic massages with consultations, and.... and...!!! Glacial Acres is 24 acres located in central Minnesota in the midst of glacial morraines. It has a variety of soils, woods, stream, pasture and marshland which hosts our tillage and livestock as well as plentiful wildlife.
Most of our marketing is relationship-based, hence, customers trust us to produce without the use of chemical/unhealthy pesticides or herbicides. All uncropped land is cover cropped with a variety of plant species, such as, AC Greenfix, oats and/or prairie grasses.
