Aunt Ruby's German Green tomato
The Aunt's Ruby's German Green is a sweet, juicy tomato with a piquant bite. The heirloom is a large beefsteak-type tomato, pale green in color with a hint of yellow striping. This large tomato often weighs one pound or more. Aunt Ruby's German Green has the wetness of a melon and boasts a deep, robust flavor. It is generally used in salads, but is also a wonderful tomato to fry.

We operate as a non-profit organic farm, in an urban neighborhood in New Britain, CT. We farm seasonal crops all year around. We deliver to many restaurants, caterers and schools around the state. Thank you to all of our CSA members in 2008. It was a challenging year for us, and unfortunately, we could not continue on our farm for 2009. We have moved to oregon to be closer to family and will eventually try again to have a farm and CSA in the future. (more...)
