Ashevillage Institute is a 501c nonprofit organization based out of Asheville, North Carolina, USA.
Our mission is to provide immersive educational leadership programs that accelerate community-based, whole human, whole systems impact projects with the aim of fostering a vibrant, just, and resilient world.
Our goal is to work with the abundance of Nature, and the recognition that humans are part of Nature, in order to design and implement local, natural and integrated systems that engage the inner and outer landscapes, while creating thriving, co-flourishing cultures‚?¶in cities, neighborhoods, backyards (and all places) around the world.
Our vision is that through engaging human and non-human intelligences, humanity has aligned with the wisdom and grace to design and live in communities that are in balance with themselves, each other, and the rest of the natural world, and that honor and support all Life
Our programs are based on a collaborative platform that engage leading innovators through online global seminars, coupled with immersive in-person leadership labs. We curate teams of instructors and co-design curriculum together that will engage participant‚??s visions for their own communities. Our program goals are that: 1) participants will gain meaningful insights and deepen their leadership skills, 2) participants will design and implement ‚??take home‚?? projects that generate impact in their own communities, and 3) collaborative local and trans-local peer networks are activated and working together on an ongoing basis. Our programs focus on three main areas: the outer/physical landscape, societal/cultural landscape, and inner/personal landscape.
Our campus is the City of Asheville, and all its dynamic and myriad projects, peoples, organizations, and initiatives.
Our headquarters is the Ashevillage Sanctuary LLC, a one-acre eco-urban, living-learning laboratory, guest house, and demonstration center.
