85 days. Open polinated Heirloom. Indeterminate.
The flavor of Aunt Ruby's is legendary - sweet and tart like other green tomatoes, but also has a rich spiciness that others are lacking. On everyone's top ten list for flavor.
The fruits are large and green, with a yellowish mottling and a pink blush on the bottom when fully ripe - just beautiful! Can get over 1 lb.
Germinated at 92% on 12/17/12.
|Lifecycle:||1 (0: N/A, 1: annual, 2: perennial, 3: biennial)|
|Soil:||Adaptable. Tomatoes need phosphorous, potassium and calcium more than nitrgen. Bonemeal is perfect. Too much nitrogen will cause excessive plant growth and fewer, later fruits.|
|Propagation / Germination:||Start indoors 5 to 6 weeks before last frost date. Keep lightly moist but not wet. Will germinate at room temperature (60 to 85 degrees), but does best at 70 degrees.|
|Water:||Water weekly if necessary. Tomatoes appreciate a deep mulch, but wait until soil has warmed and plants are growing rapidly.|
We have a 4 plant minimum order size for shipping purposes.

We produce all of our own seed, unlike most seed sellers. We never purchase bulk seeds and repackage them. You can be sure that you are getting top quality, healthy, and vigorous seeds from us, and that they were produced by us on our small farm in healthy soil.
We are licensed by the State of Missouri Department of Agriculture to sell plants (license #1931) and seed (license #149045) produced by us. We exceed the Federal minimum germination standards and post our germination test results with each variety so you know what you are getting.
