The Balm of Gilead Herbal Salve is made from hand picked buds from the Black Poplar Tree, long known to the Blue Ridge mountain people as Balm of Gilead or "Gilly Buds". The buds are harvested from trees that are downed by winter storms through natural selection to maintain sustainability of our woodlands.
After harvest the buds are infused in Organic Olive Oil for 4 to 6 weeks and then combined with natural unprocessed beeswax to thicken and then enhanced with small amounts of the healing essential oils of Neem, Myrrh, and Juniper.
To benefit from this Soothing and Healing herbal remedy simply apply with your fingertips wherever you are experiencing discomfort.
When in Michigan please visit one of our farm outlet stores in Charlevoix or Traverse City or come by the herb farm greenhouse on River Rd in Frankfort for a mini-tour of the herb varieties we grow.
