The Balm of Gilead Herbal Salve is made from hand picked buds from the Black Poplar Tree, long known to the Blue Ridge mountain people as Balm of Gilead or "Gilly Buds". The buds are harvested from trees that are downed by winter storms through natural selection to maintain sustainability of our woodlands.
