The Barrington Farmers Market was established in May of 2000. It is held Thursdays froom 2-7pm in the historic district of downtown Barrington near the train station.There are over 22 farmers and vendors that participate each week in bringing freshly grown and produced products. Items for sale include organic and conventional veggies, meat and eggs. Also available are flowers, fruit, honey, pastas, sauces, baked goods, breads, olive oil, tea, soap and more. Various ready-to-eat food vendors sell items to eat at the market or take home for dinner.
Barrington is a friendly walk around town. Much of the downtown area has recently gone through extensive redevelopment and has brought new life to the entire area.
