Basic Roots Community Foods is a year-round community foods cooperative. We are located in the heart of downtown Indianapolis. Our mission is to make good food accessible by giving you the tastes to drive your desire to eat better. Basic Roots is supported by a network of growers, locally & regionally, to provide year round farm fresh goodies. Currently we have monthly subscriptions available, delivered once monthly. By subscribing, members reap the health benefits of eating local, sustainably grown foods while helping to build food security through a community of farmers. As we continue to grow our network of farmers, many of whom are planting seeds of diverse, heirloom crops specifically for us, we will be able to offer a variety of choices weekly, rather than monthly. Basic Roots was started in December of 2005 to address the needs of the lack of good, local foods.

We are currently offering a full share for $50 & a 1/2 for $35 for our once a month Basic program, containing mostly produce. Our once a month Deluxe program features quality cuts of meats w/ vegan option, diary, grains, eggs, canned goods & ingredients to fulfill the staples in yr household. A share is $120 & both programs can be delivered to home or work, anywhere in the city, for a small fee or pickup downtown. Each delivery includes Digest This! newsletter filled with food facts & recipes.
