Our covered farmers market in downtown Battle Creek features Michigan grown and value added foods...seasonal vegetables, fruits, poultry, pork, beef, lamb, artisan cheese, honey, flowers, and baked goods. The market is organized and operated by the Battle Creek Farmers Market Association, established in 1980. Previous groups have operated a market in the downtown area since 1895. www.battlecreekfarmersmarket.com During 2011 market season the market has averaged 20 vendors on any given day, offering with a wide variety of fresh Michigan grown vegetables and fruits, meats, artisan cheese, eggs, flowers, baked goods and quality local crafts. Community, youth and service organizations are encouraged to participate in the market to promote their organizations and conduct occasional fund raising activities.
