(Phaseolus lunatus)
A Pa German Heirloom that did really well for use with very few problems. Early producer for a lima at around 90 days. It is a bush habit with some long branches. We got almost 3 pickings out of these plants, and they take a good frost. 3-4 Bean per pod, with a sharp spur when dry. The beans are medium sized for a lima, but the most dramatic color you have ever seen. When I was picking these, i would find some in my pocket. I would go to town to get lunch or coffee, like a proud parent, I showed my kids to every friend I ran into.
