It all began in 1948 when our family first started keeping honeybees with Grandpa A.J. Nelson. He was a talented man who was good with his hands often building his own beekeeping equipment, some of which have lasted to this day. He understood that to have a good harvest (whatever the crop) he needed good soil, plenty of rain at the right times, and warm sunny days. Grandpa A.J poured his heart & soul into beekeeping. Due to technology the world is a lot smaller today than it was in 1948. Over all that time we never forgot the lessons Grandpa A.J taught his family about honeybees that have been past down from generation to generation. We believe that had Grandpa A.J. survived to this day (Past Away 1971) he would have been thrilled to know that three generations later we are still keeping bees.
