Description: Heirloom from 1892. Original selections were made from Early Blood Turnip by Mr. Reeves of Port Hope, Ontario, Canada. Nearly round blood-red 3" diameter roots. Great for canning and fresh eating. Prolific, good keeper.
Planting: Sow seeds 2" apart, 1/2" deep outdoors as soon as soil. can be worked in spring. Can be planted at two-week intervals for continuous harvests. All parts of the beet plant are edible.
