40 days from transplanting. Open pollinated. Developed in Israel, this type of cucumber is very popular in the Mediterranean area, and should be more popular here. It has a smooth, dark green, tender skin, sweet flavor, is burpless, and never bitter. It puts traditional American type slicing cucumbers to shame. We love to snack on them right out in the garden.
Productive, vigorous vines produced plenty of 8 to 10 inch, slender fruits for several months for us in our buggy, disease ridden Midwest garden. We recommend trellising for best results.
Having grown a hybrid beit alpha type cuke for years and having it be our favorite, we were very happy to find this open pollinated variety. And, after experiencing its stellar performance in our garden, we are proud to offer it to you.
We are now closed for the 2014 season. Thank you to all of our wonderful customers! We will be back in January, 2015.
We produce all of our own seed, unlike most seed sellers. We never purchase bulk seeds and repackage them. You can be sure that you are getting top quality, healthy, and vigorous seeds from us, and that they were produced by us on our small farm in healthy soil.
We are licensed by the State of Missouri Department of Agriculture to sell plants (license #1931) and seed (license #149045) produced by us. We exceed the Federal minimum germination standards and post our germination test results with each variety
