We enjoy raising healthy, happy pigs. Our small independent family farm has been raising pigs since 1979. Roger quit his factory job in town to follow his dream of being an independent hog farmer. He has been around pigs his whole life. First showing pigs at the county fair, as a 4-H project then later, showing pigs at the MN St.Fair open class show. He has recieved many purple and champion ribbons threw out his life.
I married him in 1982. We have been raising hogs together since then. We do so without the use of aniibiotics, feed grade drugs or animal bi-products in their feed. When the hog industry started to change to leaner tastless pork, we resisted. We believe that people want food that tastes good.

Our smallest box hold up to 4 LBS, 2nd size hold up to 25 LBS and the largest box holds up to 40 LBS. Use this only as a guideline for shipping.
Our meat is shipped flash frozen and shrink wrapped, to lock in flavor at its peak. This is the best way to purchase pork and chicken when shipping any distance. Place in freeze upon arrival or use within 4 days.
We butcher every other week in the summer and winter months. We never have a large inventory but enough to fill orders, supply a few retail co-ops and enough to take to the farmers market.
We select only the very best animals from our family farm to become Prairie Pride Meat! USDA inspected
