Big City Farms specializes in growing heirloom and open-pollinated vegetables on vacant parcels of land in downtown Indianapolis. The operation is committed to bringing farming back into the urban environment. The produce is availabe to the public through a CSA program that runs from June through October. In addition to growing high-quality vegetables, the farm also works to increase food and farming educational opportunities, as well as exploring ways in which well-grown produce can be made more accessible to under-served populations.
