Billet-Doux Farm (say "biily-doo"...French for 'love letter') is located in the beautiful Yadkin River Valley of northwestern North Carolina. We grow a variety of vegetables, herbs, and flowers to sell at our farm stand, which is part of the Shacktown Farmers' Market (a large group of growers and artisans which we will host here on weekends, beginning in May). Our heritage breeds include: flocks of Speckled Sussex & Light Brahma chickens, from which we gather our eggs, a dozen Navajo-Churro sheep who cheerfully (at least it appears that way) provide local artisans with a beautiful, long-staple wool, and four Rouen drakes who are awaiting the arrival of a bevy of hens.
